To become well versed, tolerant and as educated as humanly possible
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio USA in 1983. I am the second of four children (1 brother, two sisters). I enjoy traveling, and seeing new places.
I believe in the power of community, and the strength that can come from working together. I love listening to music, although I don´t often enjoy what is played on the radio, as I find it too filtered. I follow the news and politics, although I often find myself keeping quiet during heated political discussions, mainly because politics are a lot like religion, as everyone is entitled to their own specific beliefs. If you are best suited to take a path that differs from mine, then how am I entitled to say that you're wrong?
One quote that I particularly like:
"So I went up and there she was, the girl with the pure and innocent dear eyes that I had always searched for and for so long. We agreed to love each other madly. In the winter we planned to migrate to San Francisco, bringing all our beat furniture and broken belongings with us in a jalopy panel truck."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm sure my friends have noticed my penchant for spreading pro-couch surfing propaganda, but it's more because I believe in the couchsurfing philosophy. I have couchsurfed, and hosted people before.
I have couchsurfed in Geneva, Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, Santa Barbara CA, Portland OR, Sydney and Budapest, and enjoyed it very much. The hosts often have provide a great perspective of the city that a mere tourist would not know.
Music, Sports, Movies, comfy chairs, orange juice, writing, fresh ginger, cookies and milk
Music, Movies, and Books
Most types of music, animated sitcoms (Simpsons, Futurama), HBO dramas, sports-related activities
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Perth, Australia is on the opposite side of the earth from Cleveland, OH, and I managed to make it there!
Teach, Learn, Share
The concept of couchsurfing is as much about philosophy as it is a place to crash during your travels. Every couchsurfer I've ever met has been tremendously tolerant, hospitable, and open to new ideas.
