About Me

Its Me Mikiyas or Ras ital , you can even call me skinny boy 😊 A Soul Rooted in Nature
Born and raised in the ancient city of Harar.

I am a soul that thrives in the rhythm of nature. The whisper of the wind through the trees, the silent wisdom of the mountains, and the unspoken stories carried by rivers these are the things that move me. I have never been one to chase after material things; life, to me, is far beyond possessions. It is about connection connection to people, to animals, to the earth, and to the energy that flows through all living things.

I am someone who listens more than I speak. There is a certain beauty in hearing people share their thoughts, their truths, their emotions. Words, when spoken honestly, have weight. But I despise gossip, the empty noise of pretenders, and the masks that people wear to fit into a world that values illusion over authenticity.

I believe in realness, in walking with integrity, in being the same person whether the world is watching or not.
Football has always been a passion of mine, but only when I’m on the field, feeling the game in my body. Watching it on a screen, lifeless and distant, does nothing for me. I am a man of action, not a spectator of life. I prefer movement, experience, and presence over passive observation.

The philosophy of Rastafarianism speaks to my soul the purity of living in harmony with the earth, free from toxic products, away from the artificial chaos of modern life. Cities suffocate me. The concrete, the noise, the rush it all feels unnatural. I long for the mountains, the villages where the stars still shine bright, where the air is crisp, and where life is lived, not just survived.
Chemicals have no place in my world. I believe in what is real, what is natural, what is true.

The artificial the processed foods, the poisoned air, the synthetic emotions none of it aligns with who I am. Simplicity, purity, and raw, unfiltered life that is my path.
There is a saying that resonates deeply with me: "You live once, so live real."
That is my creed. If life is short, I refuse to waste it living a lie. I will walk my path with truth, with depth, with an open heart and a mind that remains forever in awe of the beauty that nature offers.

I am Mikiyas. A seeker of truth, a guardian of nature, a lover of life 🇪🇹🌼🌍🌎🌏✝✡☪☦

☝ ONE LOVE EVERY ANGLE OF EARTH FOR ALL HUMAN KIND ✊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met many people who have told me about couchsurfing - it sounds like an amazing community. I'm a tour guide by trade but my hope is to just meet people from around the world and show off my beautiful city. I am not using this for money, only for shared experiences.

Interests

I find wisdom in history and in the stories of elders. Nature is my refuge walking through forests, climbing mountains, capturing birds in flight. I nurture plants and flowers, drawn to their quiet beauty. Dogs hold a special place in my heart, though I don’t have one yet.
These are not just interests; they are the essence of who I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

Conscious REGGAE! I love animated films and documentaries. Any books about history

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once stood face to face with a group of hyenas in the wild. In that moment, there was no fear only a deep, sacred understanding between nature and me. Their eyes held ancient wisdom, their presence a reminder that we are all part of the same earth. It was not just an encounter; it was a connection beyond words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to welcome guests with open arms, sharing my culture, the art of organic salad-making, and the wisdom of caring for the land. In return, I want to listen deeply to their life philosophies, their stories, and their way of seeing the world. Teaching and learning, heart to heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First and foremost, I offer true conversation honest, deep, and meaningful. I will share herbal tea, fresh fruit salad, and simple wisdom on living an easy, natural, and happy life. A moment of peace, a taste of nature, and a connection that feels real.
