Overview
About Me
I’ve been constantly on the move, always chasing the next adventure — but now it’s time to slow things down a bit and call Brussels home. That said, my passport will always be ready for another stamp! It’s no secret: I love to travel. Camping under the stars, hiking through wild trails, and discovering new cultures keep me alive.
By day, I work in the hospitality industry — a world that perfectly matches my love for people, energy, and dynamic environments. On the side, I freelance as a photographer and videographer, capturing everything from raw landscapes to nightlife moments. My camera is usually not far from my backpack.
I’m passionate about literature — from the surreal worlds of Murakami to the deep psychological explorations of Dostoevsky. When I’m not reading, I’m probably free diving, swimming, or hitting the gym. I never say no to a great concert or music festival, especially if there’s a driving techno beat involved. From gritty Brussels clubs to open-air sets.
Board games, photography walks, and a good glass of rum with friends are some of my favorite ways to unwind. Oh, and fun fact: once, I had a beer with Sherlock Holmes. Or at least someone very convincing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been using Couchsurfing for quite a while now — I started back when I was a student, looking for a way to travel on a budget. But it quickly became so much more than just a place to crash. It gave me the excitement of hearing real stories from real people, and the chance to dive into different cultures in a way no guidebook could offer.
For me, Couchsurfing is about meaningful connections. It’s about sitting around a kitchen table in a new city, sharing meals, memories, and perspectives. It's a way to keep that sense of discovery alive — not just of places, but of people. Whether I’m hosting or surfing, I love the exchange of energy, kindness, and curiosity that this community is built on.
Interests
I'm into literature and storytelling — I'm a writer too. I chase music and concerts, love theater and movies, and dance my heart out to techno with my favorite people.
Camping, stargazing, birdwatching — basically anything outdoorsy where I can pretend I'm narrating a nature documentary. I tell both awful and occasionally brilliant jokes, study myths and philology for fun, and casually hunt for treasure. One day, I’ll learn to fly. Until then, I’ll just keep collecting stories.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: From Pearl Jam, Bowie, and Joy Division to Nightwish, Auri, System of a Down, and Epica — plus a good dose of Mozart, Hans Zimmer, and Philip Glass. On the dance side: I lose myself to Klangkünstler, Charlotte de Witte, Anetha, Oscar Mulero, DVS 1, Sara Laundry, Nina Kraviz, and Rebekah.
Books: I love everything from Murakami, Shafak, Dostoevsky, and Nesbo to fairy tales, fantasy, and postmodern novels. Big fan of Poe’s short stories, magical realism, and anything with a twist of the surreal.
