Why I'm on Couchsurfing
My husband and I have learned that people are inherently social beings. We have so much to share and learn from one another! CS is a way to encounter subcultures, appreciate similarities and differences, and a way to expand our world one encounter at a time. When we have a home of our own upon returning to the States next year, we look forward to hosting CSers!!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I was a part of a team that performed 63 ocular surgeries over the course of 16 hours in the rural part of Paraguay- it opened my eyes and rocked my world! It is what led me to become a nurse.

Lots of laughter, a listening ear, and camaraderie! Would love to cook with my host and share a glass of wine! Stories of our lives, where we have been, where we are going. Gratitude, immense gratitude.
My Interests
I love baking, cooking, hosting dinner parties, knitting, volunteering with a local medical clinic, cuddling with my sweet cat, hiking/camping, trying different cheeses, seeing God's green earth, and experiencing all that life has to offer- traveling, building friendships, and making memories! Basically anything that has to do with new food or learning new cultures - I'm in!
