1ST AREA I DO RECOMMEND IS HONG DAE/HAP JEONG AREA : YOUNG AND HIPSTER AREA,MAINLY 20S WITH NIGHTLIFE AND SHOPPING, RESTAURANTS ETC, IN MY OPINION, NIGHTLIFE IS NO 1 FOR TRAVELERS IN SEOUL. 

2ND AREA I DO RECOMMEND IS JONG RO/MYEONG DONG AREA : MANY HISTORICAL PALACE, VILLAGE, SHOPPING STREET, TRADITIONAL MARKET ETC IN MY OPINION, IF YOU ARE INTO THE HISTORY AND TRADITIONAL, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.

3RD AREA I DO RECOMMEND IS GANGNAM AREA: BRAND NEW MODERN SEOUL(SINCE 1970S), MOST NUMBERS OF BUSINESS AND JOBS AND CORPORATION, BUILDING FORESTS, SHOPPING, NIGHTLIFE, BRAND NEW SKYSCRAPERS AND SOME FANCY STUFF ETC 

SINCE I RESIGN TO THE COUCHSURFING, I HAVE HOSTED SOME GUESTS AND MET SOME TRAVELERS TO HANG OUT AND SHOW THE SOME PLACES IN THE CITY AND MOST OF THEM WERE COMPLAINING TO SPEND HOURS ON THE MOVING SUCH AS FROM GANGNAN TO MYEONG DONG, FROM HONGDAE TO GANGNAM  ETC.

THIS IS NOT AN AVERAGE CITIES WHERE 1 MILLION OR 3MILLIONS OR 5MILLIONS POPULATION RESIDENCY.
(AH, I CAN GO TO FROM A TO B IN 20MINS JUST LIKE OTHER SMALL CITY, My Friend, IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK IN THIS FAT CITY. ) SEOUL AND SURROUND THE SEOUL AREA HAS ABOUT 26MILLIONS AND SO IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO MOVE AROUND.
 
FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU STAY OUTSIDE OF SEOUL, SOME KIND OF RURAL AREA OR VILLAGE, YOU CAN SPEND 2 HOURS TO COME TO SOME HOT SPOTS IN SEOUL(WITH TRAFFIC JAM, IT CAN BE EVEN WORSE) AND ANOTHER 2 HOURS TO GO BACK HOME. 4 HOURS IS NOT THAT SMALL FIGURE IN 24 HOURS OF YOUR DAY. METRO(OR SUBWAY) CAN BE BETTER THAN BUS BUT IT STILL TAKES LOTS OF TIME.

SPENDING YOUR TIME ON THE BUS AND TRAIN SO LONG COST NOT ONLY YOUR TIME BUT ALSO  YOUR  ENERGY.
I HOPE YOU CAN AVOID THE BLOODY RUSH HOURS WITH PACKAGE OF WORKERS COMMUTING EVERY WORKING DAY.

CHECK THE MAP OF GOOGLE AND NAVER(KOREAN VERSION OF GOOGLE) CAREFULLY AND SO PLEASE STAY IN THE CITY CENTER.IF YOU EVER PAY HOSTELS AND HOTELS. YOU CAN CHECK MANY YOUTUBES OR TRIP ADVISORS AS WELL.  

EVEN GUY LIKE ME WHO WAS BORN IN SEOUL AND GREW UP IN SEOUL, IF I BOOK JUST ONE NIGHT OF HOSTEL OR HOTEL ON WEEKDAY OR WEEKEND, I FIRSTLY CHECK LOCATION AND REST IS 2ND OPTIONS. UNLESS I HAVE WORK SHIFT OUTSIDE OF SEOUL, I PAY THE ROOM IN THE CENTRAL AREA EVEN THOUGH I NEED TO PAY MORE. I DO NOT WANT TO SPEND MUCH TIME IN THE BUS AND TRAIN. ALSO TAKING A TAXI(CAP) AT NIGHT WILL BE A NIGHTMARE.  

WHY MONSTER CORPORATIONS IN THE WORLD STAY IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS AREA? LOOK NEW YORK AND LONDON AND SO ON.

1, Several people emailed( or requested) me, and I didn't respond to them
because I was busy with my adult life. Money, Job, Deal, etc.
I didn't know that Couchsurfing became " paying ".. so I just paid it via credit card today(Apr 13th, 2023).
So I can reply back to people. The last time I checked, it was nearly 3.5 years ago before covid hell life.

2, During the coronavirus time and corporation life, I nearly gained 2-30 lbs, and oneday I saw myself in the mirror of a sauna, and I noticed something went wrong deeply. So I left a corporation life 8months ago and went back to the Gym to get back to normal shape and read some books on the life/health/money etc, I eventually went to the gym 214 days in a row including 24th,25th,31st of Dec 2022/1st of Jan 2023 and became OK. So I decided to come CS again to help the travelers in my city and I will gladly be the part of next big journey through CS, Oneday I will try to travel to nations that I didn't visit and wanted to go back such as the South Asia, Central Asia, West Asia, Middle East and EU at this long backpacking plan and then Latin America and Africa so on. 

3, I will try to practice flim the places in Seoul to remember and vlog via Samsung Galaxy Mobile Phone with Gimbal

Move back to My home,Seoul After moving around the world for over a decade.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just go to local area and see how people make their life.. Amen..

I met some great korean travellor of age over 50y,o in India(that was his 7th trip) and he told me he has been travelling for last 30years and went to more than 100 nations. I did ask him if he want to keep doing and his answer was simple. " I want to travel until my legs/arms can work " I was speechless.
After for a while, I met another Great Italian 50y,o Dr in UKraine(his 10th trip) and he told me that he has been cruisng his whole life since he was 19y,o. I asked him what he want. he said " u r young so you should go working, I got some money I wish I can have this fun before I die, not making more money " even he did learn russian to communicate local ppl when he was 45y,o. I was more speechless than korean Great travellors.

Trip to Formal Soviet Union and saw local ppl got the different way of thinking than mine. really hard to travel without speaking local or russian language. everything was out of control with my lack of language and travelling experience.( still wonder how could I survive?.. )

Trip to india, poppin' to slum at midnight, I just couldn't count ppl on the street. I went some fancy hotel and saw Armani shop and luxury cars.
The train supposed to leave 7am adn eventully left 3pm. lol.

I was OZ and everyone said to me " go to Thailand.. : I did it and stayed almost 1years and several places in South Asia. But I was starting that trip to met some thief in Khaosan Road of bangkok. lol.
I got stolen everything so I bascially no money at koh phang an and local bussiness owner gave me his room for few days until I got some money from west union.

Working in no where but in an endless desert in Middle East. such a hard working. paycheck was so different to ppl who has a different back ground.

Met Raciest motha fuxxa and they pushed me into running car. lol. almost killed^^ Policaman saw it and I asked that policeman, nothing happening.. its not 3rd world. it was one of the richest and well known nation.(Throwing eggs was not that bad. lol. )

Snorkelling in Perentian Island,Maleysia and we took kinda secret boat trip to the Island where is def one of the most gorgeous beach in my whole life cuz no one live over there( no electricity, house). island was completely empty. We slept 3nights over there with our own cooking XXX and slept beach without anything but just our tiny clothes. saw purple sunset.
