About Me
I want to clarify upfront that I'm not here for dating, and I view Couchsurfing as a wonderful platform for cultural exchange, learning, and genuine connections.
*Important security note:* Unfortunately, we had a previous experience where a guest failed to return on time, causing concern for my family. To ensure everyone's safety and peace of mind, I now only host *verified members* who are willing to share their government-issued ID (which will be deleted upon your departure).
Hello fellow travelers!
I'm Mitra, a passionate Ayurveda teacher with a confessed addiction to travel! When I'm not sharing my knowledge of Indian medicine, you can find me planning my next adventure or exploring hidden gems around the world.
I'm drawn to the unusual and the unknown, with a love for:
History: the older, the more fascinating!
Culture: the more unique, the better!
Cuisine: the spicier, the merrier!
My travel mantra? "Work, travel, repeat!" I'm always eager to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and make new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
WARNING: Crazy Traveler Ahead!
I'm not just on Couchsurfing for the free accommodation (although, let's be real, it's a great perk). I'm here to collect amazing stories, hilarious anecdotes, and unforgettable memories!
As a host, I get to meet incredible people who've braved the world's most turbulent buses, survived on questionable street food, and still manage to smile. You guys are my heroes!
My schedule is crazier than a backpacker's itinerary, so if I decline a hosting request, it's not because I don't love you, it's just because I'm probably stuck in a meeting or eating cereal for dinner (again)!
Let's swap ridiculous travel tales, laugh at each other's misadventures, and make some unforgettable memories!

Music, Movies, and Books
My fav hobbies :
📖 Getting lost in a book (any genre, any time!)
🎵 Grooving to melodies that soothe my soul (music is life, right?!)
BUT... 🍿 Don't ask me about the latest movies! I'm not exactly a cinephile... or a movie buff... or even a person who remembers the last movie I watched 🤣
Books and tunes are my jam!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driven 17,000 km across India in 51 days (and only got lost 473 times)
Survived a trip to Antarctica without turning into a human popsicle
Lived with militants in Ethiopia (and learned their secret recipe for injera
Visited Somalia and made it out with all my limbs intact
Hiked through the Taiga forest to meet Reindeer herders (and didn't get trampled by any reindeer
Scuba-dived with whale sharks in Oslob (and didn't get swallowed whole)
Snorkeled with the sardine run in Moalboal (and didn't become fish food
But the most impressive feat?
I managed to write four travelogues without falling asleep at my desk
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is short, folks! Make the most of each moment... unless you're stuck in a traffic jam, then just breathe deeply
Here are some more nuggets of wisdom from a travel-addicted yogi:
Don't cry over spilled chai... or a missed flight... or a lost passport (okay, maybe cry a little for that one)
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you a 12-hour bus ride, make... well, try to sleep?
The world is your classroom! Learn from every stranger, every meal, and every bumpy bus ride
Travel is the best teacher! It teaches you to be patient, flexible, and really good at eating street food
So, go forth and explore! Make mistakes, try new things, and laugh at yourself (often)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm all ears! I believe that listening is the greatest gift you can give someone, and I'm here to lend a sympathetic ear.
Traveling has turned me into a storyteller extraordinaire! I'd love to regale you with tales of my adventures, the fascinating people I've met, and the incredible places I've seen.
But that's not all! I'd be delighted to share my knowledge of:
Ayurveda and India's traditional healing systems
Basic yoga sessions to get you relaxed and centered
Delicious Indian cooking (who's ready for a culinary adventure?)
Household chores (because sometimes, we all need a helping hand)
