After a few wonderful years of traveling I somehow found myself gainfully employed at a job I love in Alaska.

I miss the au pair/WWOOFing life but am learning and growing now in ways I couldn't on the road.

I love to travel alone and meet people along the way.

I'm fairly independent and certainly don't expect my host to feed/transport/entertain me all the time, but I AM in this to meet new people and really hope I can spend time getting to know them.

I've stayed with hosts in Spain, Ireland, Italy, U.K., Netherlands, Norway, and the U.S. and have treasured every moment. This is truly a wonderful community and I'm so happy to have met so many fascinating and generous folks! When I shared a house with a handful of other girls in Jackson, MS we would host surfers fairly often and that was a fantastic experience as well.

Once on a walk along the Thames River I was followed by a helicopter because I bore a passing resemblance to a lady who was "a bit mental" and had a habit of throwing herself into the river. (Sure hope they found her.)
