About Me

Hi! I’m in my 30s, usually based in Poland but currently roaming around Australia on a Work & Holiday visa. I’m spontaneous, cheerful, and social, but I also really value my solo time to recharge. I love traveling — especially getting out of cities for hikes and nature — but I enjoy a bit of classic sightseeing too. I don’t eat meat, try to respect animals in their natural habitat, but also care about the planet and make environmentally friendly choices. I’m generally people-oriented, value the most long lasting relationships, but always open and curious about the people I meet along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love meeting new people along the way — people I can learn from, share memories with, and enjoy good conversations. I believe that what goes around comes around, and that kindness has a way of finding its way back. I’m social and really cherish the feeling of shared company, whether that’s exploring a place together or just chatting over a cup of tea. For me, Couchsurfing is about connection, stories, and the small moments that make traveling feel meaningful.

Interests

I'm passionate about outdoor adventures like hiking, climbing, mountaineering, camping, and animal watching. I enjoy staying active through sports, fitness, and gym workouts. I’m fascinated by psychology, especially CBT, and I enjoy nerdy conversations about it. While traveling I like to have my time booked for photography (both taking pictures and editing them). At times I'm also into handcrafts such as woodworking, furniture renovation & decorating, painting and other DIY projects. I also enjoy books and cinema. Last but not least, I absolutely adore animals!

I love non-fiction. Traveling reportages of any kind (short stories from Latin America, Himalayan expeditions or crossing Atlantic on a kayak? I buy them all!). Inspiring biographies. Data-based literature (statistics and charts showing the invisible truth about the world we live in). Reading about people, environment, economy, and how they are all interdependent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed Mt. Blanc, scuba dived in beautiful spots, backpacked through South America for a few months, bike backed through Poland and Switzerland, stargazed in the middle of nowhere, climbed a few beautiful multipitch routes... Actually every time I'm in high mountains or I dive, it feels amazing. Also I've done sobe amazing woodwork and decorations to my home.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always happy to leverage my cooking and ukulele skills! (The latter I started but well.... lacked consistency....). In exchange, I can share my knowledge about the world, the countries I've visited, my mountaineering, climbing, diving knowledge and some linguistics skills.
