I am a German guy, married with my Latvian Counterpart.
My biggest passion has been travelling. Travel experience: By hitch-hiking: from Canada to Guatemala and to other places in North, Central, and South America; From southern Germany to Asia (Russia) by bike; Across the alps by walking; In the USA for a 15-months social service; Lived in Latvia for a year; Other European Countries

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Long term member of Hospitalityclub. I was Nr. 1 Host in Riga for some time. If you want to know about my guests and my surfings, check my comments on HC - apparently the website is not working anymore.

TRAVELLING, friends, laughing, working with wood, music (listening and guitar), harvesting fruit, learning languages, HC-meetings, hang upside down in trees, read, swim in cold rivers, hot springs, saunaing, hike the alps, sports eg. soccer, basketball, volleyball, cycling and re-cycling, skating away on the thin ice of a new day, invastigating in foreign cultures, walking on hands, tablesoccer.

Hmm, let me think....if you re my guest I can tell you about the area and show you around. Of course I could chew off your ear about wood, furniture and wood construction, but I am not sure if you re interested in it.
And I can teach you, how to be a good loser in table soccer. Or do you want to teach me?! :)
