Overview
About Me
Bonjour! Friends call me by my nickname "MJ." My mother is French and my father is Kenyan. I'm a human rights advocate and writer.
While Paris is my hometown, I see myself as a citizen of the world. I'm now based in Montreal but I've also lived in California, New York, Holland, Mexico, and Kenya. I've visited over 30 countries, from Japan to Peru, Montenegro and New Zealand! Favorite memories include the Galapagos Islands and Kyoto.
I speak English, French, and Spanish fluently, as well as basic Japanese.
I enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting people from all parts of the globe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed with various people, gone to multiple CS social events, and hosted people in Paris. I think Couchsurfing reflects a positive dimension of globalization in a world that is growing smaller and smaller every day!
I have notably couch surfed in the Netherlands, England, Wales, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Seattle, and Napa. It was a wonderful experience!
Interests
I've done salsa dancing, meditation, and traditional Japanese arts for a long time. I also love hiking, writing, reading, museums, concerts, cinema, politics, and more. I'm never bored!
