About Me
La vida es una tómbola!
I've been a Couchsurfing host since 2013, and after many years of "travelling from home" with all the amazing stories from my beloved guests, in 2025 I decided to take my backpack, my bike, and see it by myself.
If I can't host you at the moment, I can help you find cheap and safe accommodations, restaurants, or assist you in case you have an emergency. I had surfers who were trapped in the middle of the road on their way to Cusco, got intoxicated, didn't book tickets on time, and even had a nightmare experience with other hosts. I am sure that I can help you, just send me a DM.
While I'm in Cusco, I organize treks and/or campings almost every weekend around the area or the Sacred Valley, with International and local friends, so send me a DM if you want to join us!
Sometimes we do Downhill and other bike activities too.
You can also suggest any route or activity that you'd like to do, and if the group agrees, we can do it.
These activities are 100% free and for the CS community.
I don't do tours, I can help you with recommendations and tips to organize your travel without an agency, but I don't do any kind of profitable activity here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To welcome the coming couchsurfers and make them feel at home, learn about their culture, and teach them about mine.
The world is a napkin, but there's so much to learn about it!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am at a stage where I enjoy listening to every genre, especially if it's something new. So please share your music with me!
Talking about my "at home" favorites, I love Jazz, Flamenco, Tango, Opera, and Punk (It's not a phase, mom!); but talking about my favorite dancing genres, I love bachata, samba, merengue, and cumbia villera.
I enjoy watching drama, like Haneke, Gaspar Noé, and Lars Von Trier movies. When I want some action, psychological thrillers are my choice. My personal recommendation: Noroi, the curse.
I love documentaries too, so if you want to suggest one from your country, I'd appreciate it, it doesn't matter the language.
Talking about books, I'm a big poetry fan, I wrote a collection of poems for different contests when I was at the University. I also enjoy short stories and drama novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Context first: For those who don't know, the access to Machu Picchu town or Aguas Calientes is difficult, you can only access by an expensive train or walking 2h30m from an inactive train station, after travelling by bus for 7h from Cusco, the nearest big city. And cars are not allowed In town, just authorized buses.
So one Christmas Eve when I was living there, I accepted a last-minute couch request. I sent her indications to reach my couch, but she didn't answer me. I thought she changed her mind, so I went to sleep. Around 1 in the morning, I received a call from a guy at this inactive train station, asking for my name, saying that "she had a tourist with her that was looking for me", I thought that It was a mistake, but I asked him to let me talk with the "tourist" to help her, since this guy only spoke Spanish and the "tourist" was speaking in English, and you can't imagine how big my surprise was when this "tourist" was my guest! It was raining and she was crying. It was late, dark, and she was scared and confused. I calm her down and went to pick her up. After 2 hours walking under the rain, we met and walked for 2 more hours to my couch. She was very brave to do all that way from Cusco to the train station. And I was glad that she was safe.
After that, I decided to always be sure that the surfers that contact me or the surfers that I will host, have all the information necessary to move around Cusco and Machu Picchu, since it could be very tricky if you are not well informed. What a Christmas!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share the things that I love here, stories and myths, the underground culture, mysticism, volunteering, ‘city cheats’ and any alternative non-touristic activity.
But, I have worked in the tourism industry for a long time, so I can also give you all the tips that you'll need for places like Machu Picchu, especially if you want to do it without an agency.
An activity that I enjoy doing with other surfers is cooking. Since Perú is a very important gastronomic destination, I love to cook for them, and eat what they could prepare from their countries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
After many years of just hosting, it feels strange to be "on the other side" for the first time and be a guest, but based on my experience as a host, I promise that I'll make you enjoy my stay.
Now, talking about what I can offer: First, as an IT expert and experienced DIY guy, I can improve or fix whatever you have, feel free to ask for an extra hand from this human multi-tool. I know that there's always something to do at home.
Now, as an "authentic Peruvian", I can bring a tasty party of Peruvian dishes to your table and you could discover if Peruvian food is as good as they say 🧑🍳
