One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will share some of them:

▪️My trip to Tokyo was unforgettable as I found myself surrounded by enthusiastic locals who eagerly requested to take numerous pictures with me. It was one of the best experiences I've had while traveling.

▪️I embarked on a rewarding hiking adventure in Kotor, making my way towards the magnificent Fortress Walls. The journey took approximately two hours, filled with breathtaking scenery and a sense of anticipation. As I ascended higher, the views became increasingly awe-inspiring, showcasing the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. The hike was a perfect blend of physical challenge and natural splendor, making it a truly memorable experience.

▪️During my first hitchhiking experience in North Macedonia, I found myself in a thrilling and somewhat risky situation. I was picked up by a group of young locals, including a 16-year-old driver, who drove recklessly without a license, performing daring drifts on the road

▪️I had an unforgettable experience in Tokyo when I missed my flight and found myself stranded at the airport with no money. Desperated, I reached out to a friend for help and fortunately, she lent me the necessary funds to purchase another ticket. However, there was a catch that I had to wait for five days for the next available flight. Feeling disheartened, without money and unsure of what to do, I found myself at the airport contemplating my situation.

That's when a random Japanese gentleman approached me. He explained that he was conducting a research for the upcoming Olympics Games and after hearing about my situation, he offered me a helping hand.

What struck me the most was his genuine kindness and despite not knowing me at all, he invited me to stay at his home for the duration of my unexpected layover of 5 days. It surprised me because Japanese people generally never do that to strangers. He mentioned that my eyes reflected sincerity, truthfulness and were pure.
Additionally, he expressed his personal preference regarding tattoos and earrings. He mentioned that he was not particularly fan of them and if I had either, he wouldn't host me.

Upon arriving at his home, I was greeted with a delicious hearty meal that he had prepared. Over the course of those five days, he became not just a host, but also a friend. He took me on explorations of Tokyo, showing me breathtaking temples and sharing the beauty of the city. We even rode bikes together, indulged in local cuisine at various restaurants and I had the chance to meet many of his friends.

The experience was eye-opening and heartwarming and he showed me incredible generosity and taught me the value of trust, despite our initial differences.

As my journey continued, I carried with me the memories of those five days—a testament to the goodness that can exist between strangers. I will forever cherish this extraordinary experience and the lessons it taught me about the inherent kindness of people, transcending borders and backgrounds.
