About Me
Let’s see…
I'm Egyptian by birth, an engineer by profession, but I’ve never really lived in just one place for long, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, back to Egypt, Kuwait, Egypt again, and now Tajikistan. I enjoy that kind of life, it teaches you how to read people, adapt quickly, and find your place anywhere without forcing it. I also love traveling, so I did a bunch of those.
I’m naturally curious, I enjoy understanding people, how they think, what drives them, and what makes a conversation go beyond the surface. I’m open to any topic, as long as there’s mutual respect and understanding. I enjoy those long dinners that turn into real conversations, getting lost in a city with no plan, spontaneous walks, and discovering places you didn’t even know you were looking for. I like a good laugh, but I also appreciate calm, easy moments, a movie night, a quiet drink, or just good company where nothing feels forced.
I’m the kind of host who actually enjoys hosting, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable, well fed, and having a good time, but I also respect space and independence. Somewhere in between.
I appreciate people who are open minded, easygoing, and can enjoy both a good conversation and a comfortable silence. If you’re passing through, chances are we’ll get along just fine.
I’ve made my share of questionable decisions in life, somehow they all turned into good stories, so I don’t really believe in regrets.
My favorite quote:
“Live well, love much, laugh often.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I enjoy the kind of connections you don’t get from regular travel, the ones that feel real, easy, and a bit unexpected.
For me, it’s not just about a place to stay or offering one, it’s about meeting people, sharing moments, and experiencing a city through someone else’s perspective.
Some of my best memories came from simple things, a long conversation, a random walk, or a dinner that lasted longer than planned.
I like that mix of spontaneity, cultural exchange, and genuine human connection that Couchsurfing naturally brings.
Interests
I’m interested in people as much as places, I like understanding how different cultures think, what shapes behavior, and how perspectives shift from one country to another.
I enjoy long conversations that go beyond small talk, mixed with simple pleasures like exploring a city without a plan, discovering hidden spots, watching films, and sharing good food.
I’m equally into lively social moments and quieter ones, a walk, a coffee, or just a relaxed evening with good company. At the end of the day, I’m drawn to experiences that feel genuine, easy, and a little bit memorable.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is always part of my day, depends on the mood but it’s usually on. I enjoy books, especially the ones that make it to the big screen, it’s always interesting to compare both worlds. And I have a soft spot for comic books, definitely a DC fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is simply making it this far in life with all its twists and turns, and somewhere along the way I managed to quit smoking, which I’m quietly proud of.
I’ve also been lucky to see different corners of the world, moments where cultures, people, and places come together in unexpected ways, and those experiences tend to stay with you longer than any plan ever could.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy the whole idea of teach, learn, share, it’s really what makes Couchsurfing meaningful to me.
I like exchanging perspectives, whether it’s stories from different countries, ways of thinking, or just everyday experiences that shape who we are.
I can share a bit of my background, the places I’ve lived, and some local insight, and I’m always curious to learn how others see the world.
For me, it’s less about showing or telling, and more about those natural moments where you both walk away with something new.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m easy to host, respectful of space, and genuinely good company when it feels right. I can share stories from the places I’ve lived or simply bring a relaxed, positive vibe to the home.
I’m just as comfortable having a long conversation as I am keeping things quiet and easy, it really depends on the flow.
