Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had a chance to couchsurf a little through Asia and the Western US. My experiences so far have been awesome! I just moved to Houston, TX in summer of 2011 to start a new job, and am able to host most if I'm in town. I'm kind of if the suburbs, but love to hang out and get to know new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before the CS project, I'd couchsurfed with friends and developed an ability to sleep on just about any surface. Since then I have firmly held the belief that a traveler is much better off staying with a local than at a hotel. I have been hooked ever since.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I circled the city of Kyoto by foot over a full day, walked the Philosopher's Path, marveled at the imperial palace, and pondered the rock garden at Ryoan-ji. Without knowing where I would sleep that night, completely drained physically and mentally, I stopped off at an onsen. The heat of the sauna, the refreshment of the bath, and the satisfaction of the meal ended as close to perfect as I've ever experienced.
Teach, Learn, Share
Over the years I have come to learn a lot about hi-technology, and can discuss it at any level. Has technology changed the world for the better or worse? Has it become a smaller place or has it just given us a glimpse of how big it is?
