We are an open minded and friendly couple living in our three-room-flat in Winterthur, close to Zurich and Zurich Airport. We are always looking forward to meet new people from all around the world! We intend to offer them a nice stay and try to help them also to save some money. Switzerland is beautiful to visit but unfortunately not cheap at all. As former students we were used to travel on small budget and we were always happy to combine the aspects "money saving" with "diving really into other culutres" by participating CS. We want to provide this opportunity also to others.

We're loving nature and therefore prefer hikes, bicylce and motocycle rides and a day outside over of consumerism inside a shopping mall.

We love to get in contact with new people with other backgrounds than our normal social environment. Besides that we are interested in sports, geocaching, hiking, cinema and generally nature.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Since we started CS back in 2011, we mainly hosted people. Without exception these hosting-experiences can be judged "very positive". We had the chance to get to know various interesting people (individuals and couples) and spend hours with great conversations. For us it is a pleasaure to offer travellers our home, take them for a bicycle ride around the lake of Zurich, or for a hike. And if a surfer wanted to participate in our floorball team's training, we didn't hesitate and let them participate. We had everytime a blast with our guests. Such experiences are the reason why we support the idea of couch surfing by hosting.

After 2 years hosting we headed off for a two-month-journey and hoped to find at least in some cities hosts. Unfortunately we could not find any host, albeit we wrote around 15 personalized couch requests per city. Since then, we are hosting only couch surfers who can convince us that they already did something for the community (e.g. hosting) and are not just simply searching for a free bed. For us does a simple "free-riding attitude" not match the "CS-spirit" of culutral exchange.

By the way: most surfers we hosted we met in Zurich's LMCR Group, as we are quite busy and are not able to arrange dates much in advance.

Driving with motocycle from Switzerland north bound to Sweden and back... Hope some day i'll also be able to go far away and back to the south, the east and the west.
