Hi! My name is Nick, and I love to travel the world - particularly the places that don't see a lot of American tourists. Recently I've spent time in Eritrea, the Balkans, the Guianas, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Ukraine. I tend to love all places that I travel - each has something different and unique to offer, and I like to drink culture from a fire hose. The thrill in travel for me is to understand a place that is different from where I come from. I love animals, architecture, haggling, and hiking.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Had a conversation with a North Korean border patrol agent about North Korean-US relations. In Korean. Appeared in the largest newspaper in Serbia - simply for visiting Serbia Visited Eritrea - far and away the most interesting place I've been so far.
