To travel, to know, to experience
I love to watch movies (when possible in movie theaters - the best experience ever), and listening to music, and then doing lists of the best movies and musics. I'm always trying to study about them when i'm not too watching or listening.
Even if i seem to be a little shy at first, when i meet someone (after 1 minute or 1 month), i open a lot. I really love travelling and meeting new people and new places.
I'm from Brazil, and know i'm studying cinema in France, getting the time to know a lot of europe. My next goal is to discover asia. Frist central, then southeast and who knows living in Japan for a while?
Please, let's not confuse "Philosophy" with "Philosophy of Life", which are very very very very very very very very very very (i've already said very?) different.
As the first, i'm still a beginner. As for the second I go with the flow... going to places the time and life takes me, even if it means to stand or go back (but never really back) and always reminding myself (and others if possible) that different people have different ways of thinking, so we should respect, understand and accept them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always talking about CS to everyone i know, and since i'm always sharing an apartment or studio with someone, working hard on convincing them to accept the hosting. It takes a while, but always worked. I'm relatively new (did my first couch a couple of months ago), but always trying to travel and meet new CS friends, and happily welcoming members into my home.
Because of Couchsurfing i was able to meet Cyprus and fall in love with this beautiful country. I had wonderful experiences, meet wonderful people and a completely different country in some aspects to the ones i met before (south america, west europe).
Movies, sports (i'm totally fanatic about Olympics, hope to go this year!), Cinema, books, photography, painting (ok, art in general, right?), traveling, politics, meeting new people and learning how people can do graffitti on those huge tall buildings while no one sees that (the biggest mystery of mankind to me)
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC (listing some of my mind right now)
Simon & Garfunkel
The Velvet Underground
Secos e Molhados
some directors in particular, like
and some movies more than other, like
Jeanne Dillman, 23 quai de Bruxelles
Singin' in the Rain
The Godfather, Part I (especially this one), II and III (the ending is the best scene ever - oh, another thing about me, i say that a lot)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walk everyday through Copacabana beach to go work. Amazing sight, and the thing i miss most i guess about Rio.
Sang really loud while riding a tunnel in Beirut with a friend (and a CS host!)
I got to know the life and death of Romas Kalanta, while in Kaunas.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know everything (ok, almost) about movies. I'm always keen to learn about national culture and politics. I can teach some portuguese, and learn another language - always trying to study a new one!
