Overview
About Me
Hi there! I’m Najeeb, an engineer specializing in photovoltaics, but my interests extend far beyond the technical. I’m passionate about artsy and creative endeavors, always looking for inspiration in the world around me. Originally from Jordan, I’ve been calling Germany home since 2014, with most of that time spent in the charming town of Marburg.
Nature is where I find peace, so you’ll often find me hiking through forests, camping under the stars, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. When it comes to travel, I prefer the journey as much as the destination, whether that’s by train or carpooling with fellow adventurers.
I love meeting new people, swapping stories, and building friendships that span the globe. And yes, in case it wasn’t clear, I’m definitely a cat person!
Looking forward to connecting with you and sharing some great experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Coming from an Arabic culture, I naturally value good hospitality and enjoy having guests over. It’s an honor for me when my guests leave with positive memories of their stay. I genuinely find joy in doing nice things with others and making their experience memorable.
Beyond that, Couchsurfing allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures, which broadens my perspective and enriches my life. It’s a great way to share experiences, exchange stories, and learn from one another. Plus, it offers the opportunity to explore new places through the eyes of a local, making travel more authentic and meaningful.
Interests
I enjoy exploring various activities and trying new things. Recently, I’ve developed a passion for photography and Photoshop. I love capturing moments with my camera and using my imagination to edit them. Feel free to check out my work on Instagram: @Show.Your.Kitties

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m into Indie and 80’s music, but my taste in music is
pretty colourful; anything from LoFi to Metal, depending on my mood.
When it comes to movies, I appreciate those that are well-made and thoughtfully directed, regardless of genre. I’m particularly drawn to Wes Anderson’s films for their unique visual style and storytelling.
I enjoy reading on train rides and occasionally listen to audiobooks. My go-to genres are fantasy, science fiction, and sometimes Japanese mangas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A night hike in the desert of Wadi Rum, where the sky was so clear that the Milky Way stretched above me like a luminous ribbon. The warm sand beneath my bare feet felt incredible, creating a stark contrast to the chilly night air. Lying in that sand, under the vast, star-filled sky, was an experience I’ll never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play chess, ride a bike or skateboard, create pottery, cook Arabic food, or share some photography tips with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a respectful and considerate stay. I’d love to cook a traditional Arabic meal and share stories. I’m also happy to help out around the house and contribute to a positive experience for both of us.
