Here are a few pieces of advice for you:
# If you're a guy, send out specific personalized requests. Otherwise, you won't have a chance at all. Also, it helps a lot if you hosted someone before.
# If you're a girl, I'd suggest the same thing: consider looking for profiles and writing to them personally instead of putting out a public trip. This can attract creeps.
# If you don't want to invest time into this, at least look for 3 things in the guys' profile:
1) Does he also have references from male guests? If not, this is a red flag!
2) Try to read between the lines. Also, one sentence references are essentially not a good thing.
3) Try to contact a girl who recently stayed with the guy and ask her about her experience. Unfortunately, a lot of people are afraid to leave a bad reference after a bad experience with a creepy guy.
Lastly, please consider reporting a creepy guy when you have a bad experience. This is the only way we can keep each other safe 🙏❤️****
