About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Be where your feet are." - 1 Tim. 6:6
I'm an adventurous traveler who loves connecting with new people and cultures. Recently, I attended a women's retreat at my church that focused on the power of contentment. It made me reflect on my own sense of well-being and inner peace. The quote reminds me to be present and appreciative of the here and now.
ABOUT ME
During the school year, I like to keep my lifestyle fairly simple. In the evenings, I enjoy taking the dogs on leisurely walks along nearby trails. On weekends, I relish the opportunity to relax and start the morning slowly with a cup of coffee. Tom and I may sometimes venture out to go camping, skiing, or engage in other similar activities. We enjoy connecting with people from all corners of the globe and dreaming up new places we'd love to travel to.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm passionate about collecting food waste at my school. Every day, my students go around to all the classrooms and collect any lunch scraps that would normally be thrown away. In the last couple of years, we have collected over 15,000 pounds of food! My hope is to inspire my students to adopt eco-friendly habits in their lives. Students are learning that their actions can make a difference.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
We love listening to live music and especially enjoy folk, acoustic, bluegrass, and soft rock.
Movies
Tom is definitely the movie guy. I barely watch TV, but I will join him as an easy way to unwind.
Books
Tom and I read the Bible and attend sessions at our church to grow in faith. Since I am a naturalist at heart, I especially love learning about animals and nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring Namibia
Teach, Learn, Share
I love this quote and think about it when I need to be grounded, "Want what I have. Need what I got. Share what I have."
Someone is praying for the very things I take for granted.
