I have stayed in hostels, motels and hotels, but nothing beats a local! I have had the pleasure of inviting friends from interstate to stay with me (prior to CS) and showing them my city and why I love it! Now I am enjoying being hosted.

Travelling to Thailand and Cambodia with my sister after her divorce from her husband of 20 years. Was so nice to firstly spend time with her, but to see her have an amazing time after a crappy year and to do it without having to compromise for her husband or her kids - she was able to do what she wanted.
If I hadn't purchased her flights, she wouldn't have come. At the start she felt selfish for not involving her kids, or for spending money that could have been spent elsewhere, but it was exactly what she needed - to be self-involved and to celebrate herself and now she has some wonderful memories and we are so much closer because of it.
