About Me

I am Russian. My born city is St.Petersburg. I live with my teenaged son. We moved to Budapest in 2014. I work as a translator from my home and writing PhD dissertation on literature. Glad to meet new people and share my experience. We live in a rather small flat with a dog. So staying more than 2 nights is not desirable unless it is really a spark between us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It was through CS that I met my wonderful friend Clotilde from Lyon. My charming and honest Clo. She pushed me to be more open, meet new people, move. She was right. CS supports my belief that there are much more nice, helpful people in the world than we can expect. Thank you, Universe!
Furthermore I want to teach my son how to share, how to trust people, how to ask help or advice. And how to give back. Hope it works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to a foreign country absolutely alone with my kid. Without special money, knowing local language, friends, job etc. Just because Budapest is an amazing city. I wanted some adventure and challenge in my life and I got it. More than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a good listener :) I can give you towels and serve breakfast if I have something in the fridge. I can give direction in the city. Not sure I am able to spend a lot of time together. Always depends. :)
