About Me

Hi there!
I'm Natalia. I love travelling, music and cats. Since I finished my University last year, I try to travel as much as possible (or more likely as long as I have money to afford it). I like studying new languages and it really fascinates me (neeeeeeerd). I also love cooking pastries and in every new country I try to eat lots of traditional sweets and pastries.
Besides travelling a lot in Argentine, last year I spent 2,5 month in a Buddist Centre in Leicester volunteering as a barista and this winter I was in the South of France working in a private art gallery (eating a lot of french-pastries, of course).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm pretty much omnivorous in terms of music. At the moment my favourites being the Beatles, David Bowie, Creedence Clearwater Revival, lots of Argentinian rock (Spinetta, Charly Garcia and Gustavo Cerati and more), French modern music (Benjamin Biolay and Deluxe). My playlist has more variety but there won't be enough place to name everything.

Movies: From Chaplin classics to bingewatching hallmark-movies and romcoms, with a pinch of Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. Also series like Doctor Who and La Casa de Papel from what comes first to my mind.

Books: big fan of the Lord of the Ring and Tolkien in general and Jane Austen Novels (don't know already how many times I read Pride and Prejudice). Cortazar, Borges, Sabato. Musicians autobios, French classics (Hugo, Stendhal, Saint-Exupéry). Tolstoi, Bulgakov and Brodsky among the Russian literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love Argentina and went there four times already. Last time I knew that I won't go there for a long time, so I took three weeks off at the uni and spent all my money on a plane ticket in the middle of the year to go there for my birthday. I had five stops (a day in Rome, night in Milan airport, few hours in Amsterdam, then got intoxicated by free tequila in Rio de Janeiro duty-free, spent a day in Montevideo and then crossed the La Plata river by ferry until I finally arrived in Buenos Aires. It was Monday, having left Moscow on Friday night, but I was so happy and I regret nothing because I got to spend my birthday in the city I love most with my argentinian friends.
