Hello,

I am a Ukrainian living and working as an English teacher in Poland. I also have been living in Italy and Spain. Currently I am settled in Wroclaw, Poland.

I love travelling and experiencing new cultures. I was an aupair in Italian family, I did Erasmus a few times in Spain and Italy. When I travel I look more for experiencing the real culture, I am not into touristy destinations and crossing everything off the list. I prefer having conversations with locals, drink coffee together, talk to people in bars, on the streets. That is the reason I am here.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great platform to gain a local input if you travel to a new destination, especially solo. It gives me a chance to chat with the person who is actually living in that place and experience the local culture through her/his eyes.

I am also in for spending quality time with locals, their friends and family. That's the greatest experience for me to see how the daily life goes by in that environment

- travelling - I am experimenting with travelling solo these days and I like it
- hiking - this year I am also going on my first Camino (5 days - 115 km)
- music - I love listening to jazz, bossa nova. I also play a bit ukulele and guitar and sometimes sing
- painting and knitting
- reading - mostly non-fiction books about countries I am visiting

I love listening to live music/concerts of any type. I prefer jazz/bossa nova/pop.
My favorite movie for now is Close (2022) but generally I love watching non-commercial movies.
I love non-fiction books and psychology literature.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have to say travelling to Albania solo, it was quite challenging for me to do it alone at that time of my life but I am very happy I did.
And now I think it will be Camino di Salento in Italy - let's see how it goes !

I can share my stories and reflections on life so far.
I am quite good at cooking so we can cook some meals typical for my country.
I also think that I am a better listener now, so I would be happy to listen to your stories of travelling or living a local life.
