ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Natalia. I live in Saint-Petersburg with my family - my mother and grandmother. And with two big cats. Me and my mother like travelling. It's an important part of our life. Travelling around unknown countries is so interesting and exiting! You meet a lot of different people of different cultures.
I think I'm a cheerful, optimistic person who is open to new acquaintance and adventures.
If I have some aim I try to achieve it.
5 years ago I graduated from the Teachers' Training College (my speciality was an English teacher) and after that I decided to change my speciality and went to the University of Cinema and Television and one year ago I became a certified engineer.
What do I do now? I work as an English teacher and I am working out my own site about our journeys because I would like to share our experience with other people and I really hope it will help somebody. Another reason I have decided to do my site was to thank those great people we have met through couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was great to communicate with our hosts and to know so much about their countries. Our trips would become so dull and vapid without those meetings!
Everybody is welcome to our beautiful city!

兴趣

I like traveling, making foto and video (if you like you can see some of my photos here https://instagram.com/natalie_lamm?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=), reading books, I love going to the theatre, to communicate with interesting people, to speak foreign languages... I am interested in volcanoes as well.

I prefer different music styles: jazz, blues, Latino, sometimes Pop music but usually all depends of a certain song not of a singer.
And I like classical music very much and to go to the opera and ballet performances. My favorite operas are Carmen, Le Nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Aida (Verdi),...
About the books: I like Russian authors of 18-19 centuries.
In modern literature I prefer French writers - Marc Levy and Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt.

I have seen Comodo Dragon...
Some places in Iceland - they were awesome!
How we crossed a border of Nicaragua...
I touched the lion cubs!!!
And I worked at the Olimpic Games - it was incredible experience!
We were in trekking in Nepal - with 10 hours walking every day!!
I drove a car in the South of Africa - 6500 km for 20 days! It was unforgettable!!!
I'd want to return to the National Parks in the USA: Grand Canyon, Bryce, Arches, Yellowstone...
We are happy to meet so many amazing people while hitch-hiking and in CS!
We have hitchhiked more than 8000km in South America in two months and have walked 150 km in Torres del Paine!
