Hello I am Natalie. Born in London, and have ended up taking a crazy path in life and living in Asia for the majority of my 20's... Japan mainly. My 30s are closely approaching and I have had a bit of a pre mid life crisis and quit my job and have decided to go back to London but before doing so my friend Tomoko and I are exploring South America, Central America, Mexico & Cuba and we cant wait ;)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Funnily enough I am a hotel designer which makes couchsurfing ironic :)

I love exploring local areas and day to day life instead of touristy things.
I had such amazing experiences couchsurfing, meeting my hosts friends, going to local spots and supermarkets etc... Its the best way to travel and make lifelong friends.

Interessen

Travelling.... Food....Food....Food... I am a vegetarian so Vegetarian food, food, food.... I am not someone to sit around, I like to be out, walking around parks, cities, beaches, mountains etc... I love to be around people, eating, going for a coffee, having a drink... I like to have a good boogie somethimes, usually in gay clubs (but I am not gay) so I can go crazy! I am passionate about interior design, especially spa and hotel design although now I would love to design the ulitimate hostel! Keeping active is important, so swimming is my main sport and the gym, balls (no pun intended) I am not very good with and although I like watching tennis, football etc... I cant play them to save my life. I think games, backgammon, cards, word games etc are always a great way to spend time with friends and family, sometimes a few shots help!
I love any water sports especially SUP boarding and diving.
I am someone to get up quite early and go out and get maximum hours of the day....and at night I am happy to chill at home with friends and chat or watch a film.
Cities, beaches, mountains....I love them all!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I am not a big reader but I love travel books, interior design and design books.
Music I like most, chill out, french tunes, spanish tunes, some pop (dont shoot me,) reggae whatever the day needs!
Movies..... give me a chickflick and im happy ;) a guys worst nightmare!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of my main passions is Onsen which are natural springs all over Japan.... An amazing experience was last year. I went to an onsen in the mountains...It was snowing and I was surrounded by snowcapped mountains and trees and I was in this naturally heated water with the snow falling on my head it was AMAZING!
Another was when I hiked mount Fuji.... its was my first huge hike and it was worth it, even though I couldnt move for 3 days after :)
It doesnt sound very interesting but the amazing moments are when I think about my life and what I have achieved and I am so proud... they are the moments that I feel so lucky!
