Overview
About Me
I am born and raised in İstanbul, I moved recently to Munich for work. Instead of being in love with my work I fell in love with the mountains. 🏞️ I've been discovering best places to drink coffee, tastiest places to eat local food, the most inspirational exhibitions to satisfy my mind and soul. Living all covered with art life and regularly doing sports. You can find me practicing a challenging pilates session after work. I love to eat ice cream and have an aim to find the tastiest gelato of all times.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to discover and learn, would like to share my taste of life. Several friends advised me to try and see what I can experience here. I've become a member of this place long time ago but one of my lecturers expecially encouraged me to be an active part of Couchsurfing recently.
Interests
I am interested in theatre, literature, poetry, architecture, culinary, history, sports and politics.
I love to paint and draw but my adoration is water-color painting for sure. You can find me drawing in my lil sketch book whenever I've a proper bag to carry it. ^^
I like to do sports regularly; I swim, go hiking in the beautiful Bavarian Alps and do pilates and yoga, trying to work out as much as I can which pumps up my serotonine and makes me reborn after a freezing shower. In past I was a horse-rider and wind-surfer, looking forward to turn back to these.
It is a great pleasure for me to dance for good music. Also I am a decent latin dancer. (eg. salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha)
I enjoy hosting art meetups with creative people where we paint, sketch or write together. ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I've so many best ones that distract me to find a favorite one.
First comes to my mind, I'm in love with Freddie Mercury's voice, The Beatles was one of the best innovator band of all times that their music is legendary. Latin music is so fascinating that brings the "dancing spirit" in me most of times such as Carlos Santana, Buena Vista Social Club, Pancho Sanchez and Ayhan Sicimoğlu. I like to listen nearly every kind of music genres but rap. Especially love jazz, funk, reggae, latin, pop, rock, rock&roll and classics. I'd love to discover a different taste also share what I have in my archive. Oh not to forget, I've a large classical music collection which I enjoy whenever I study and I'm on ferry. You can always find me listening to Chopin's nocturnes when it is rainy, with no exception.
My favorite authors could be Marcel Proust, George Orwell, Albert Camus, Ray Bradbury, Schopenhauer, Kazuo Ishiguro, Goethe, Gündüz Vassaf, Emre Kongar, Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare and Alain de Botton.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There was a dressage competition in my riding club years ago. I'd been watching the other people, some friends trying to complete route. As a note I had no private horse on my own but had been using club's horse called Sautrer. There were other people trying to ride Sautrer and show their skills but it was his nervous day that he made no one ride it. Jumping, kicking and rearing in manege while competition continues. No one could properly ride him. People which use their own horses or people which worked with other club horses were alright but riders who had to work with Sautrer were all sad.
It was my turn to show my work with Sautrer. I took the bridle from previous rider, started talking to him... Stroking his face and neck while talking to it. Requesting him to help me and looking at his eyes. He seemed he accepted my kind request. After a short while we started our work in manege. Sautrer was like hypnotised, he seemed pretty calm and felt all my leg moves, was even better than our practices and moved very elegantly in competition. When we completed our work everybody was clapping and surprised how deep relationship we had.
I got the first winning prize from the competition, which was so fascinating. It was a wonderful moment to communicate with a horse.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to paint watercolor. I believe the most essential principle about painting -specifically watercolor painting- is "patience", if you have guts to do it, can show a few tricks.
I love writing by hand, I keep a regular journal and can show you the essence of creative and expressive writing.
I can teach you how to cook the puffiest pancake, the biggest dome muffin or the crunchiest chocolate chip cookie of all times.
Hint for your request of stay: Pigeon (If you don't tell me this keyword in your message while requesting me for staying, I'm afraid I'll directly decline it.)
I like to read philosophy and biographies of some philosophers and keen on learning about it more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the best events I know in Munich, can be a theatre play, an exhibition, a concert or a workshop. As I'm an architect I have a different perspective of seeing places in terms of history and city texture, it is possible to see Munich from a different view of me. While I do sketches of some streets, may tell you funny, interesting and old stories about it.
I can teach you how to make the most beautiful apple swan in the world! (ps. I love apple)
I have a large sofa bed that I would like to share for other travellers when I have free time.
