Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm always interested in meeting new people, and this is a good way to do just that. Also, I love travelling but have a typical student's budget.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into all kinds of music; Green Day, Juju, 30 seconds to Mars, Ed Sheeran, Karri Koira, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink, G Dragon, Asa, Elastinen, Pariisin Kevät, Haloo Helsinki... As for films, I love The Lord of the Rings, Rare Exports, Lapland Odyssey, Kingsman, Guardians of the Galaxy, all films by Hayao Miyazaki and/or his studio, Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, Royal Tenenbaums and Fantastic Mr Fox, and O Brother, Where Art Thou by the Coen brothers - to name a few. Books are really important to me, and the ones that first come to mind are The Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, the Hobbit, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Kalevala, all the poetry by Eino Leino... I also love comic books like Calvin and Hobbes or Nemi.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I once ate a really big chocolate bar (300 grams) in under 5 minutes. It was awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've studied art, history, and art history pretty passionately... so I'll probably have a thing or two to tell you about Finnish artists and the historical aspects of Helsinki, if interested:) I'd love to share some good food with cool people at a nice restaurant or café. I love eating, so I know some really good café's and restaurants in the centre of Helsinki - so no matter if you want pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, a small snack, reasonably priced lunch, or a more expensive meal, I pretty much always have a few places in mind:)
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'm really chatty and like having long conversations about pretty much anything, but I can stay quiet too if you don't feel like talking (that's my Finnish super power).
