Interests

Open minded to different cultures and the wonders of nature around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling to the Middle East, my first meal off the plane was an Eastern food called Sabich (pronounced Sab-ee-cht) The street vendor asked me in his broken English "You want spicy?" Now, I thought as Westerner that that "spicy" meant lots of spices, like an Indian cuisine. "Yes, very spicy" I replied to the vendor. Having no idea what I had just accepted, he put pure chilli paste to the top, I took a huge, hungry traveler bite and my mouth started to go numb, face bright red. Lesson learned, in the East "Very spicy" does not mean lots of spices.
