Hey fellow Couch Surfers,
My name is Ned McDermott Healey and I grew up in Australia before moving overseas last April 2022 to travel and work overseas and specifically in Spain. I am looking to improve my Spanish language and love the opportunity to live with local Spaniards. I am at conversational level of Spanish and native English speaker. I am very active person who loves surfing, running, any team sports.

My philosophy on life is very simple. Things that go around come around. Essentially I believe that if you do good to someone else then this good will come around at a later date. Therefore I try to be friendly, accomodating and nice to everyone I meet because I know that one day someone else will provide me with these essential qualities when I need it most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have joined Couchsurfing for two main reasons.

1. To practice my Spanish Language - I have noticed that living with Spanish speaking people only has improved my confidence and ability to communicate in Spanish. I enjoy the challenge and am very friendly. I can also offer a transfer of language learning by providing native English communication and guidance.

2. To surfer with local travellers and international people. I love to share stories and passions and meet new people. I do not know anyone is Madrid so therefore I am looking to establish some life-long friendships and a group to hang out with in my spare time.

I am confident in providing language and cultural advice to do with Australian English. I also can share a good time doing activities such as hiking, walking, going to the park or any sports. If you love to play sport I would be happy to hang out since I am very active. Finally I can share my cultural experiences and surfing knowledge to anyone that is interested.
