Sometimes we can host for one or two nights. We have a nice seperate guest room for one person or a couple. Please try to get in touch with us some time before you visit Hamburg. Last minute requests is not what we are really looking for. :-)
Besides hosting we are interested in swapping houses, room or flats. Our next destinations are Sankt Peter Ording, Cologne, Southern Germany, Austria, Nothern Italy. Please contact us when you are interested in swapping.
I am Nelly I used to teach German as a second language. My husband Ralph (who is a bookseller) and I moved from Cologne to Hamburg about four years ago.
We are older couchsurfers and tend to prefer older couchsurfers as guests.
When travelling we sometimes stay at airbnb accomadations or stay overnight on a campground in our van.
We still find that couchsurfing is attractive too. But we are too old now to sleep on the floor. And some privacy is essential for us too. So if you have a spare room whe we visit we'd appreciate that.
That is why we are much into house swapping. It is not a must but we really would love to swap with somebody from Sydney, Australia in the beginning of 2016.
All other suggestions are most welcome - too. Please do not hesitate to contact us...
We are looking forward to meeting you.
Live your dreams. Do what you really want to do. Do not be afraid. Start your new life - today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a child I spent with my family four long summers in Provence, France. I adore the special light in Provence, the blue colours of the sea and this scent of thyme and lavender.
After that some summers in Tuscany, Italy. But I have to say that I prefer la douce France.
When I was a student I worked in Djerba Tunisia als a travel guide. I loved the landscape on that island.
1995 - 1999 several trips to the United States. I liked particulary Nantucked Island, Santa Monica, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, Chicago, Seattle, Manhattan, Phoenix...
2000 - view from the Twin Towers, Manhattan
2009 - 2 days on a house boat on the Nile close to Assuan, Egypt.
2010 - 16 days traveling in Kerala, India.
2012 - Rajasthan and Goa, India
