About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To change the world one story at a time !

ABOUT ME
With the passion of travel after my journey through 20 countries over the years, I am driven to travel with community spirit, inspiration and wisdom, while meeting beautiful people with memories and forever friends along the way.

HAVE A STORY TO TELL? I would love to film your story :) I would love to hang out and listen to what you have to say from the fun stuff, to the challenging, from the mundane to the adventurous! A little 2 min film about you...... or we can just hang, drink tea ( or beer) and chat about life's fun little mysteries :)

I am also a independent filmmaker ( Nash Films) creating short documentary films :)

PHILOSOPHY
Compassion and kindness- It is time to find compassion within ourselves and kindness as well. Here is where we find compassion for others less fortunate, who need a helping hand/support, love and care. I believe that people who are deemed as "a bad person" have lost their way and have not had the kindness and compassion from others through their life journey. It is time to "cherish Sentient Beings".
I believe in the Chinese message that "Knowledge is Power" Without education people can't grow within themselves and help others around them. Educating ones self and to others is powerful as it can create a better understanding between two people, religion, culture, society, peoples perceptions and the list goes on and on. Of course without knowledge and education we would not have this life changing experience of Couch Surfing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in this project by simply joining the team of great adventurers, filming hosts stories ( or friends of ) and I make THE BEST SCONES with jam and Cream, if you are keen!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I have been a member for 16 years now and I must say I believe that Couchsurfing has put my faith back into humanity!! With over 80 people who have surfed my couch I have never had a bad experience :)
I was going to sit here and spend copious amounts of time talking about my adventures, but what fun would that be when we can just have a tea or beer together and let our Couchsurfing journey spill over into the day and night :)

Interests

Wow where do I start...I am fascinated in people, so I guess I am a bit of a socialite. People are so intricate and so many people are much the same, however they are sooooo different in many ways. I love finding out what drives people, what motivates us, but then I also find it fascinating why people do the opposite and don't want to seek new possibilities, learn more and achieve to their full potential. Here is where I love to help guide and inspire these people to go out and experience what this world has to offer...and this includes couch surfing of.. course!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Torch Festival in Old Dali, Yunnan province China. The streets of Dali were festered with large mounts of hand made flamed torches, scattered people with gun powder and open flames ready to singe the back of the legs of those who try to run past....ooooh yeah it doesn't tickle. While Rage Against the Machine played "Burn" a crowd of a hundred Chinese (exaggerated..haha)myself and a fellow Aussy boy I had met moshed with flamed torches!! Craziest moment ever experienced.... In end of July.
On Saturday the 3rd of November 2007 I supported a human rights relay to reach out to the world that the Beijing Olympics and crimes against humanity cannot coexist in China. It was to raise awareness about China having no freedom of belief/speech. Over the last 50 years this party is responsible for over 100 million deaths of the Chinese people. They are also responsible for the harvesting of organs from Falun Gong Practitioners, who are only people who practice a meditation of refining the body. The government see these people as a threat and therefore have imprisoned these practitioners in labor camps and other secret facilities. I have some photos if you would like to have a look.

Being scared of heights, I decided to challenge my demons and make the jump...literally soooo I went skydiving 14,000 feet!!! I was in shock for about a week after, but I am glad I faced my weakness because now I can stand on a ladder without thinking I am going to come crashing down!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can facilitate the following:

Filming and art of capturing a story

No matter what shape, size, colour, obscurity, craziness, religion, culture someone may encompasses they WILL educate you in some manner. Whether it is the tiniest piece of information to a life changing experience. So, if your standing next to someone who you normally pass judgment straight away and ignore their presents, perhaps you should just turn to them and ask how their day is ...who knows... they might present you with what you have been searching for.

What I Can Share with Hosts
