Used to work with this great girl in an ad agency in Buffalo. made her Christmas one year by showing up on her and her boyfriend's door one Xmas eve with a tree! (he'd been working double shifts, they hadn't had a chance to get one and she was heartbroken over it). So a couple of years ago I surprise her (but not him, i called ahead) by showing at their new place in new jersey for Christmas! Stayed a few days, had a great time. Does that count as couch surfing? it sure was fun.
