Yay this I this the part where I get to talk about myself... haha well for starters I have been traveling since I was less than a year old. Since then, travel has always been a little part of my life. Having a mom that was a travel agent, I was fortunate enough to travel quite a bit throughout my childhood and teenage years. Needless to say, travel was nothing new to me. However, at the start of 2016, a year full of travel would occur that took my appetite and love for travel to new heights. I visited about 13 countries in one year. Many of those, backpacking and traveling unlike I had before where I stayed in nice hotels and did touristy things. In 2016 I fell in love with hostels, backpacking, taking the less traveled path. It left me with a greater appreciation for the local culture. With that being said, I literally started the 2017 new year in a different continent. Backpacking again realizing that this is one of the things that makes me happiest in life. I want to continue traveling as far as possible and experiencing things that I could never experience back home. I believe this new venture into couchsurfing will do just that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to get out of my comfort zone. I have always heard good things about Couchsurfing but I never had the courage try it for myself. Now, after having a bit more experience traveling internationally, I want to give it a try in order to immerse myself even more into the local culture. That is what I find most pleasing when I travel far far from home. I don't want to visit a place like a tourist but rather just get a taste of how it is to live there as a local!

Interests

Traveling and learning about other cultures. I greatly enjoy learning about how your culture is so alike or different from mine. I'm also a huge fan of football or, soccer, as we call it here in the states. Also I really enjoy photography!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very broad and large appreciation for many genres of music. My favorite would be rock and jazz. Favorite artists include Coldplay, John Mayer, Sade, System of a Down, and The Weeknd. I know, a random mix! And for movies, I don't have a favorite however I tend to really enjoy comedies. I also have an appreciation for old movies too. I've never been a huge reader but if it has to do with traveling, sign me up.
