I've been hosting surfers for quite some years now. I enjoy meeting people and sharing my space with them. I had the opportunity to travel for about 3 months without a plan through Eastern Asia and Australia pre-covid (2019) and I traveled the USA while living in my van for 3 months in the middle of the Covid pandemic (2020). Most recently I made it down to Suriname for a couple of weeks (Oct 2021 and April 2022). In 2023 Xaviera and I were married and did 40 days through Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, West Java, Bali and the Philippines. Also 30 days in a Jeep road tripping through USA. Next on the list? Probably moving to Suriname now that a baby is due 🇸🇷 India and China interest us too!

I'm on couchsurfing to connect with people. I've found that couchsurfers by large are very open minded and willing to talk about all aspects of the human experience. The most rewarding aspect of life is drawing people out and finding connections in experiences with strangers.

I also like opening my home and life up to strangers as a way to encourage people to get out of their comfort zones and explore this huge world we live in. I've had nothing but positive experiences so far and looking to add more to the list!

I prefer travelers who have their own itinerary of what they want to do and can do so independently. I am happy to share a drink at the apartment with you but usually I'm not as interested in going out to the town 👍
