About Me

Hey! I'm Nicolas, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Belgium!
I LOVE traveling! I finished my studies a bit more than 2 years ago, I studied social work and I worked in a refugee center for almost a year at the end of my studies. Two months ago, I decided to leave Belgium to begin a trip around the world. Since that day, I have seen crazy landscapes, met incredible people and overall lived unforgettable experiences. I am pursuing my dream. But this is not the main reason for my travel: in fact, I don’t travel for the beautiful landscapes, I don’t travel for the delicious food either, I travel first for something far more important than that. I travel because I have a mission, and my main mission is to elevate myself and to become the best version of who I’m meant to be. That is my main goal : to grow 😁 I try to live by what’s often called the Golden Rule: Love your neighbor as yourself. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want done to you.

I also believe that we should avoid judging or criticizing others, not just with our words, but even in our thoughts. It’s important to keep a kind and open heart, and to hold good thoughts about the people around us. In my view, someone who is truly focused on working on themselves doesn’t have time to judge or complain, they are too busy creating, learning, and growing. And for me, that’s what matters most.

I’m a very chill guy, everything can make me laugh 😂 I’m not picky at all or difficult to live with 😂 I’ve already traveled a lot, before that I’ve visited many European countries and when I was 18 years old, I spent a year in New Zealand, also staying at locals' homes, and it was amazing! Now, I'm starting a new adventure through South America! My first language is French, I can also speak English and I'm an intermediate in Spanish. I'm someone who loves adventure, and I'm very sociable. I really enjoy meeting new people, having deep and meaningful conversations, and learning from others. The most important thing for me is to love people, and to work on ourselves every day to become a better person. Building a good mindset, full of hope and joy, and spreading love wherever I go, that's my philosophy. I’m actually writing a book and making my first Youtube channel ! 😄
I like this quote : “The greatest value in life is not what you get. The greatest value in life is what you become.”
I'm also very sporty. I used to swim for nearly 15 years, and I do a lot of sports such as calisthenics and musculation. I also love reading a lot. One of my dreams is to start a podcast where people would come and debate about interesting topics to share their ideas and grow 😁 You can check my instagram : nicojoyboy777

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since the beginning of my travel, incredible things have happened to me, even supernatural things sometimes 😂 I left my country totally alone and yet, everywhere I go, I meet people who help me. Every time I want to do something, whether it’s to go to a certain city, to climb a certain mountain or even to find a place to stay for a night, I always end up finding people who help me.

Teach, Learn, Share

That’s the main thing I’ve learned from my journey: a man becomes what he believes, a man becomes what he thinks about all day long. The mind is like a factory, a mental factory. And whatever you think about all day long pours ingredients into this mental factory. Can you imagine dumping a bale of trash into this mental factory every day and coming out with a rich, dynamic, positive life? It can’t be done.

You decide what goes into your mental factory. You decide to believe if you’re cursed or blessed. Don’t let anybody just dump anything they want into your mental factory, because you’ve got to live with the results.

And so, this is my message today: everything is possible to those who believe it is possible.
