I live with my husband, daughter, and our pup in Jacksonville, Florida. I am from the United States and my husband is from Chile. In 2015 I sold most of my worldly possessions and embarked on an open ended journey around the Earth with just a backpack for 900 days! Along those travels I met my husband in New Zealand. It is SO GOOD to have a home(base) again. I am very out going and love meeting new people and learning about their country and culture. I live an active life and crave outdoor time and adventures. Being in, on, or near the water is my happy place.

To meet new people! The best way to experience a country is to stay with a local. You learn all of the interesting things you don't find in a guide book. I've had the best experiences with couchsurfing and have made some amazing friends along the way.

My friend and I went on a long road trip through the U.S. to spread our friend's ashes who had passed away. We went to 6 different music festivals, one every weekend, and visited with friends and family along the way. We not only spread his ashes but we also shared his spirit with everyone that we met 💜
