Overview
About Me
-I love being outside, hiking, sitting in parks, and farming!
-I graduated college last year, and majored in Environmental Studies and Sociology/Anthropology. I've worked quite a few seasonal agriculture jobs, on farms and in greenhouses, but I'd really like to explore my interests in writing and research. I think it would be cool to work in a museum or library and learn more about curation and archiving historic artifacts and collections.
-I like going to shows and concerts, live music of any kind is always better
-I'm introverted, but not shy. I enjoy meeting new people, conversing and hearing perspectives from around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling somewhere new is really enhanced by meeting people who know a place and want to share some of the little details that might otherwise be missed. Couchsurfing allows people to open their homes or stay with others without spending money, which allows so many more opportunities for sharing and learning from people around the world. I'm into that!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read. It's definitely an escape for me and a tool I use to keep myself off social media. I gravitate towards fiction but read a lot of memoirs as well. A few books I always go back to include The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, and Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked through a tropical forest in Ghana to reach a hidden waterfall- eating cacao along the way, when we got close to the end, trees covered in spikes and biting ants blocked the path and we thought we'd have to turn back! But my friends and I jumped and climbed over the trees and through the river to be able to swim under the waterfall and sit in the sunlight :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot of knowledge relating to environmental sustainability, if you are looking for ways to incorporate these practices into your life I am happy to share my background in environmental studies.
