Hi everyone,

I'm Nicola, a kiwi who is half British & currently living abroad in Europe. I'm 25 years old and have just finished my post-graduate studies in New Zealand / all over Italy. I studied a combination of design, romance languages (Italian, French & Spanish) and gastronomy (mainly Italian food).

Mid last year (2014), after finishing my studies, I returned to Italy before moving to Paris to work as an English assistant at a culinary high school / university (a fixed-term contract through the French Embassy) in order to realize one of my childhood dreams of living in Paris with my mum and improving our French together!

I finished up in Paris at the end of April and then headed to a surf and yoga resort in the south of India for a while with my brother - a competition I won, which was epic!!!

I am now back in Milan as have just finished volunteering at the world expo "Nourishing the Planet, Energy for Life."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For these last three months I am planning on traveling around Europe, mainly visiting and staying with friends, before returning to NZ for the summer.

I obviously don't have friends everywhere I'd like to go, hence my interest in Couch Surfing! For me, staying with local people is the ultimate situation...As you can tell, I love traveling, meeting new people and discovering new cultures, especially through food.

Interests

Food, health, sustainability, the environment, fitness, sports (especially yoga, walking, swimming, cycling, dancing, group fitness classes...), languages and travel are my passions, so if some of those interests are yours too, ever better!
