I am a very positive person. I always want to be around people, because they usually make me happy. I am a city girl; I grew up in Rotterdam and now live in Utrecht, two big cities in the Netherlands.
I love to travel and when I get a few days off I always go somewhere on a holiday. These holidays can either be a citytrip, a 'naturetrip' (walking in the mountains, which we don't have in Holland so I enjoy them a lot) or a far away trip. Going somewhere the culture is very different from mine; I have been to India, Indonesia and stayed in Ghana for 4 months. After some years of working parttime and fulltime in hospitality (bars and restaurants), I just started nursing school (september 2017).
I live with 3 friends and we enjoy cooking together and going into the city to see live musicshows, get drunk in a bar or go out dancing (either funky 70's/80's or techno). My weakness in life is the fact that I spend all my money on trips and festivals, so I never have money for other expensive things/clothes; I think it is the best 'weakness' to have!

I think couchsurfing will make my trips so much more fun. You get to know someone from the place you are going to and get to know the real local's must-sees.
I love meeting new people and I hear so much good things about the couchsurfing community, I want to be a part of it!
I started solo travelling last year, I went to Lisbon and Ghana by myself and I think it is amazing how quick you connect with people around you when you are a solo traveller!

I listen to so many different music genres, I know many people say this but I think it's true.
I used to be a big reader, nowadays it is hard to find the time, but in the summer when I got a few weeks of no responsibilities I can easily read a book a week. I am a good old Harry Potterfan.
Movies; Depending on my mood I choose an easy romcom or a cultfilm. I am a Woody Allen fan. My favourite movie is too hard to choose. Forrest Gump, Almost Famous or movies like the girl next door and 10 things I hate about you.
Sometimes I just want to watch a movie to cry to and I pick brokeback mountain.
