ABOUT ME

I am quite a sociable person, but I also like calm and silence sometimes. Not a party-goer, but I enjoy going to concerts and bars though. It depends on my mood.

I have a deep passion for foreign languages and cultures (just like everyone here basically!), and I am a very curious person. Conversations about travelling experiences, books we read, deep thoughts we have, all are things I truly enjoy.

Currently I have two jobs: tour guide, French teacher (online classes) and I also teach "mutual intelligibility" at the University. You don't want it is? A lot don't, so come and meet me and discover :)

I love food and wine. When I travel I really focus on discovering as many typical dishes and wines as possible.

Animals are our friends! If you come with your dog or other, you are welcome! Just not cats, sorry, I like them too, but I am just allergic to them. Wish it were different really...:(

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been on Counchsurfing for a long time, by periods, and I have hosted many people from everywhere.
I am not really fond of the uniformization of minds and globalized thought-makers that mass travelling is getting to generate more and more, so just keep in mind that we are all different, we don't all eat McDonalds or listen to the last crap that hit the top first position in the music head lists. There's a million way to experience life and think, so respect it and do not take your cultural references as the only legitimate.

Also, travelling is NOT a competition. Having seen 156 countries is great, just 3 but more deeply is even better.
There is no such thing as "small" or "big" travellers, there are just travellers who pursue the same goal: open their horizons.

I am kind of an eclectic guy, I like a lot of things (actually, not really fond of sports!!). Cinema, reading, music (I used to play the saxophone), learning foreign languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Portuguese), surfing through the net looking for travel sites and photos, going out with friends and discover all good places (restaurant, bars, parks...), photography, nature, news of the world (international channels), history, geography (I can spend hours learning a map by heart!!), architecture, art.

I don't have any specific type of literature, love reading about everything: novels, poetry, essays, newspapers, scientific literature. I love many types of movies, especially fantastic, fantasy, historical and some horror movies. I listen to electronic/techno music, trip-hop, indie pop-rock, world music...

I like to take time with the people who come and visit. It is a principle for me, I don't accept any request if I am not available and I don't have at least some time to dedicate to my guests.
My flat is no AirBnB, I am here to share and show you around as much as I can.
Lyon is a very beautiful city, there are many restaurants, green areas and all types of things to do.
