Hey, my name is Nikolai. I am a laid-back, open-minded and easy going 27 year old from Crete, an island in the Southern part of Greece. I have completed my undergraduate studies in the University of Ioannina in Northern Greece. After that I studied and worked for 2 years in Glasgow, UK. In September I moved to Belgium with my Romanian partner to start working in a research position at a university close to Brussels.
My hobbies include studying science and philosphy, listening to loads of music and I also practice open-ocean swimming and martial arts when I have free time.
I love socializing and meeting new people from different cultures and with different viewpoints to challenge my opinions and worldview.
I enjoy taking long walks in the city while having discussions with friends with a cup of coffee or beer and occasionally like going to bars and clubs.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because my current living condition in Belgium has opened me up to a lot of travelling opportunities. The specific route I take and the fact that I only stay for a limited amount of time (usually one or two days) in each country forces me to travel alone most of the time. I am a pretty outgoing and social person that's not very used to travelling and this is the first time I am going for it alone so this is why I would like to use Couchsurfing to meet different people from countries other than my own to get advice and tips from helpful lads and gals and if it is possible to find someone to hang out with. I am very easy going so any place to sleep is appreciated and of course it's no problem if someone has no time to hang out.
