Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm laid-back and easy to get along with, so I would love to make new friends through couchsurfing, but I won't expect my host to spend time with me or show me around unless they'd like to.. Recommendations are always wonderful though!

Interests

Exploring new places and ideas, reading, writing, live music, most outdoor things, cooking, creating, hearing and learning other people's stories.. I can't think of many things I wouldn't be willing to try at least once, especially if it's socially/culturally important to the city I'm in!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all forms of music and love seeing live music more than anything. I will always be willing to go to a concert, even if I've ever heard the artist.

I don't watch many movies, but my favorites include The Life Aquatic, Pulp Fiction, Her, I Heart Huckabees, and the Royal Tenenbaums. I most enjoy documentaries (social/cultural, environmental, political.. Anything that will teach me something new!).

I read a lot and most enjoy books that use a really raw writing style - like the narrator wrote things as they thought them, without filtering or editing. Shantaram is by far my favorite book and I recommend it for everyone (:
