About Me
We’re Nina 🇨🇭 and Gustavo 🇧🇷 a couple living in Zürich-Schwamendingen, together with the true owner of the house: Miezi, our very affectionate cat from Bolivia. 😸 Miezi rules the apartment, so it’s important that guests are comfortable sharing space with a cuddly cat who needs access to all rooms at all times.
A fun fact about us: we actually met through Couchsurfing during our travels! Thanks to this community, we found each other, fell in love❤️, and eventually got married. Before settling in Zürich, we lived together in Lençóis, Bahia, Brazil.
We’re both vegetarians🥦🥑🫑 (except Miezi, of course!) and live a fairly quiet lifestyle. During the week we go to bed early because of work, so our home is a calm and peaceful place, perfect for travelers looking for a cozy atmosphere rather than a party.
We enjoy simple things like home-cooked meals, puzzles, video games (yes, we have a PlayStation!) and listening to Gustavo play piano. We prefer staying in rather than eating out, and sometimes on weekends we can show guests around Zürich.
Another bonus: we can show you how to experience Zürich on a budget. We know all the tricks and tips for living cheaply in one of the most expensive cities in the world!
We speak German, English, Portuguese and Spanish, and love cultural exchange and meeting people from all over the world.
A little note: we live on a modest income and can’t afford to cover food costs for guests, but we are happy to share what we have whenever possible. We can offer a cozy private bedroom and a warm, welcoming home for travelers who appreciate a calm and relaxed environment.
