I live in downtown Puerto de la Cruz close to the new bus station and to the central square (Plaza del Charco). My home is small but I have a mezzanine bed for one guest and a mattress on the floor for another. However, the mezzanine is a bit short so I prefer guests who are not too tall (better if you are shorter than 180 cm). There is also a sofa but that is a bit short too.
It is most convenient to have just one guest who fits to the mezzanine but two is also possible if the other one takes the mattress. Even 3 guests can be fitted for a night or two, if needed (that has been already tried).
Last minute requests are fine! Also late arrivals or early morning departures are not a problem. You can access both airports by TITSA buses from the bus station near my home (but TFN is much closer by and has more connections from Puerto de la Cruz than TFS).
I don't mind if you speak bad English. I have already hosted many. We can combine that with my elementary Russian, bad Swedish, or so-so Spanish. Somehow one can always find ways to communicate. French I speak rather well (and English and Finnish, of course).
I understand that you often have to send lots of requests so I am not expecting highly personalized ones. Copy-pasted one or a oneliner is fine. If you can get my first name correct that's nice already.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I mostly host. Particularly I like returning guests. Hence, if you have stayed with me before you are the most welcome again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hosted probably over 300 guests (first in Hospitality Club, then here in CouchSurfing, now also in BeWelcome, TrustRoots and Warm Showers).
Teach, Learn, Share
If you get hosted by me you might end up in my Instagram photostream @nlipsane. I hope that you don't mind.
Tea is always available, and maybe something with it. We can cook together, if you wish, or go to have dinner in some of the many restaurants nearby.
If we cook together, I eat almost anything but not mushrooms or mustard. Also, I don't like very cheesy foods. I eat meat but not every day so vegetarian/vegan cooking is fine too (I would actually love to learn some new easy recipes).
I have a washing machine if you need to do laundry. I can also share Wi-Fi from my phone.
