I am a teacher who loves to travel. I am married to my beautiful wife Stephanie, who (thankfully!) also loves to travel. We're currently teaching in Qatar and trying to see as much of the world as we can.

I think that it is a great opportunity to meet people and experience their way of life. Ever since I went on a walking trek across a portion of America, I came to the realization that the best way to interact with people while traveling is to get to know people from a specific area. You can only learn so much about a place from reading plaques and looking at buildings. Sooner or later, you need to actually talk with people who've lived there. I'm really looking forward to starting my journey on couch surfing by getting to know people in a specific area and, thereby, getting to know their place and their culture better.

I love the book East of Eden by Steinbeck. I love reading the poetry of T.S. Eliot. I am an English teacher by profession, so I love to talk literature. American modernism is my favorite genre and era of literature.

As far as music goes, I love instrumental and indie rock.
