About Me
CURRENT MISSION: finding my way in life ;) follow my way in Instagram @noahrubio
ABOUT ME I love spending time exercising and staying fit. I enjoy going to the gym, doing CrossFit, cycling, swimming, climbing, hiking, and playing football or volleyball. Sports and being active are a big part of my life. This passion for movement led me to Edinburgh, where I studied Sports and Exercise Science. During my studies, I discovered the world of Tango — and since then, it has become one of my great passions. Lately, I’ve also been exploring other styles of dance, like salsa and bachata.
As a good Couchsurfer, I love traveling, discovering new places, trying new foods, and learning about different customs. But the best part of traveling is meeting new people. People give meaning to everything. I love the light in someone’s eyes when they realize I truly want to know how they live, what they eat, what they do for a living — and the joy that comes from sharing their world. I find it fascinating to see how our cultures are similar, and even more, how they differ. As Mark Twain said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”
I see myself as a happy, spontaneous, and curious person. I’m easygoing and like to help things flow smoothly. I enjoy sharing experiences from my life — because I believe that without sharing, life would be incomplete.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer my couch and enjoy showing people around — when I have the time and energy, of course! I also like helping guests by sharing information about the city to make their visit easier and more enjoyable. I try to travel as much as I can, so I often get hosted too. I love interacting with my hosts and usually take part in most of the activities they offer me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I’ve surfed and hosted people over the past few years, and I have to say that all my experiences have been wonderful. Everyone I’ve met so far fits perfectly with the Couchsurfing spirit. I truly believe this way of connecting with people teaches you a lot — not only about others, but also about yourself. And I really love that! 🌍✨
Interests
I have so many interests, but for me the most important thing is to enjoy whatever you do. When I see people’s passion and how much they enjoy what they do, it makes me want to try it too!
I love sports — any kind of sport is fun for me. I love tango, salsa, and dancing to any kind of music. I enjoy music in general; I don’t really have a specific style, I just like good songs. I also love movies, cooking, and trying new foods (I really enjoy eating!). I love the beach, but I also appreciate the countryside.
There are so many things in life that I enjoy, but the best part is always the people. Good company is all I need to have a great time. I love meeting people, learning about their culture, how they think, how they behave, how they cook… Life is meant to be shared! 🌍💫

Music, Movies, and Books
There are many movies and books I could recommend, but to keep it simple I’ll just mention one of each.
A book that I really like is “La Buena Suerte” by Álex Rovira and Fernando Trías de Bes. I guess the English title would be “The Good Luck.” It’s a short book — you can easily read it in a couple of afternoons — where the authors cleverly explain what luck really is and the different types of luck you can find in life. I think it’s a very interesting read that makes you reflect on your own life and how you face challenges. Highly recommended!
A movie that I really like is “Into the Wild.” I love the message of the film — it shares powerful values and offers a very inspiring perspective on life!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve been to so many amazing places, but the best part of traveling is always the people you meet. I feel so lucky because everywhere I’ve been, I’ve met truly wonderful people. I believe it’s the people who make places special — even the most ordinary spot can become amazing when there are good people around. So please, be kind and help make this world an amazing place! 🌍✨
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe the best teacher you can find in this world is life itself. All we can really do is share our experiences and try to learn from one another — always remembering that life is different for everyone, and what works for one person might not work for another. Every single day is a lesson that each of us has to go through! 🌱
