ABOUT ME

When I first joined couch surfing, I was just "Brody," but have since gained in numbers! My wife Brittany and I were married in September of 2009, and our family has grown since - welcoming both a son and a daughter in the years since. I am pretty much addicted to education -and recently completed a dual PhD in Applied Linguistics & Asian Studies. We are currently in the process of moving to Delaware as I begin a new career as a linguistics professor at Delaware State University. Brittany is an emergency room nurse, and well absolutely incredible. We are always up for an adventure, but are definitely laid back.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love to host people, but also love hitting the road and doing some surfing ourselves. Some of the best friends, and most interesting individuals I have ever met, I met through couchsurfing - so we are always looking to participate in anyway we can.

兴趣

First and foremost love traveling - not the "touristy" kind of traveling - but the experiential kind. Because of that, I have ended up living most places that I have traveled to. Love living different places and getting to know the people and culture and not just see the sights.

Brittany and I are also pretty active - name an outdoor activity and we are up for it. I grew up in a country setting, and therefore love the outdoors, and especially horses. I have tried or participated in almost any sort of event that can be done on horseback - rodeo, three-day eventing, driving, and all sorts.

Favorite books include Kite Runner, Snow, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, A Thousand Splendid Suns, among about a million others (We definitely have an addiction to books)! Like most types of music, but favorites would have to include Jason Mraz, Tim McGraw, and some random artists like Regina Spektor
