Hey I´m Nora 26 years old, currently living in Berlin finishing my Master in Language and Communication :D
This summer I´m coming to Iceland for 5 weeks working on a permaculture community farm, on my way up North I would like to make some stops to discover the land, the people and the nature.
I am an openminded, independent and curious person. I am very interested in meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions. I have started using CS a couple of years ago and have always had very good experiences. It´s just a different way of traveling and meeting locals that I very much enjoy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am so thankful for people that open up their houses to (almost) complete strangers and show them around. So far I neither had the space nor the possibility to host someone but once I have I want to give something back.

For me CS is all about open and honest communication and about sharing. Sharing stories and experiences as well as sharing knowledge and skills. Also sharing responsibilities and tasks like cooking and cleaning up.

I am convinced that we can learn sooo much from other people and random human encounters - we can learn more about ourselves and about our social surroundings.
This platform is a great way to get outside of your comfort zone and maybe meet people that you probably would not have met otherwise.

Also it´s a great way to travel a bit more sustainable and conscious and maybe get to know the place through the eyes of a local :)

Interests

I love music, going to concerts and festivals and playing the guitar ;)
I am always up for a coffee or a beer and a nice chat about everything and nothing.
I practice capoeira and also enjoy sports like hiking, climbing, yoga, cycling or swiming - anything outdoors and active basically.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don´t discriminate agains any type of music but taking a look at my spotify playlist my Top 5 must be: Reggae, Indie & Alternative, melodic techno, deep house and some pink floyd never hurt nobody.
I sing myself so I am always up for a nice live acoustic jam session
