Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is not just about places, but about people. I love connecting with locals, hearing real stories, and learning things that guidebooks can’t teach.
As someone who’s traveled to over 70 countries, some of my best memories are from small, honest moments shared with strangers who became friends — a tea, a walk, a deep conversation, a laugh.
I’m a teacher from Cappadocia, Turkey, and when I travel, I’m not just looking at the world — I’m trying to understand it. Couchsurfing is one of the few communities that truly makes that possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe that the best part of traveling isn’t just seeing beautiful places — it’s the people you meet along the way. So when we meet, I’d love to share:
🧿 Stories from 70+ countries I’ve visited — the people, the cultures, the moments that changed me.
🍲 A taste of Turkish culture — whether it’s a homemade dish, a strong cup of tea, or a few words in Turkish.
📚 A good conversation — about life, travel, history, books, or whatever fills the moment.
🌍 A truly open heart and open mind — I don’t just want to pass through a city, I want to connect with the people in it.
🎒 And of course: kindness, respect, and gratitude — always.
If you host me, I’ll treat your space with care and appreciation.
If I host you, I’ll do my best to make you feel welcome and at home — even if it’s far from your own.
